The English language has borrowed words from many other languages to depict notions that were better described in their original languages.
The majority of these words come from the Greek and the Latin languages. Of course, there are others that come from the German or French languages.
Being a native Greek, fascinated with words and the histories of languages, I find this opportunity to study the Greek roots of English words soul-warming.
