The majority of these words come from the Greek and the Latin languages. Of course, there are others that come from the German or French languages.

Being a native Greek, fascinated with words and the histories of languages, I find this opportunity to study the Greek roots of English words soul-warming.

In fact, I’m sure that not only the people who have already asked for this series of posts over twitter will find the knowledge shared herein invaluable, but even the casual visitor will find an abundance of information that will help better understand the meaning and usage of these words.
